Single jersey is a finely knitted fabric that is very supple, soft and slightly elastic. It is a basic fabric that can be used for many purposes. The number next to the fabric indicates the yarn number: the higher the number, the finer and thinner the thread and thus the fabric that can be made from it. This jersey is a bit heavier than the 40/1. Elastane (5%) is added to the fabric for elasticity both broad- and lengthwise.
